Transparency on Grandfathering Nitro
Let me clear first that I don't really care for the features I'm losing by being grandfathered into Nitro Classic instead of Nitro. I also understand that businesses need to make money, and that the bottom line reigns what What I'm upset about is the lack of transparency and the abruptness of the change to the product without any warning.
I want to urge for greater transparency when these decisions are made instead of getting this warning a week before the change takes place.

They sent an email out several months ago and a year ago about this. Additionally, if you ever tried to change plans, it would warn you about the situation. There was also a notification within the client for a while when they introduced nitro about this. I'm not sure what you mean by warning a week ahead of time?

I was warned about this literally every time Discord restarted for months. There was a banner on the top of the screen that always showed up.
