February 2020 Update: Newsflash, it's shit+harming people.

I'm autistic, have visual issues, and ADHD. This update has my brain fried and I can't use the desktop app anymore. My mobile hasn't updated and that is the only reason I haven't deleted that one as well. The emotes bar makes it impossible to read messages. The highlight option makes it an eyesore and the bright red line hurts my head. It's too bright and you aren't even able to read the "new" part of the wider end. The lines make it very hard to read, due to the fact it keeps merging. I know many of my disabled friends have had to stop using Discord after this update, they've done a lot of what was suggested. The constant flashing images have already messed with my friend who has epilepsy. The lack of lines and cramped make many of my dyslexic friends unable to read, same with myself. Please bring back the old format and give us accessibility options.

  Yes, all of this. I can only conclude that Discord somehow forgot to consult anyone about accessibility while they were putting together the UI update.
