Custom Themes
This is the how I imagine this update to discord should be like.
Creating a panel besides the friends, library, and Nitro tabs, designed to draw in artists and graphic designers to create Custom Discord Themes that modify everything, from the text color, to the background image.
It would be set on a minimalist browsing page that allows you to view, and download custom discord themes. You would also be able to click on the artist's theme profile or banner to view more work from that particular person.
You can also favorite an artists profile, which would be saved in your favorite artists sub-tab that is found within the Custom Theme's Tab. You can go here to view custom themes and whatnot from your Favorited artists.
This could completely revamp the discord we know and love into something greater, something more unique. It could create personality and even open doors for discord to interact with their fan base. Such as hosting competitions.

All in all, this addition should be something for the community and not for profit, so although it sounds like I'm just stingy and want free custom schemes for my discord layout, putting some more thought into it you really begin to understand how it could really emphasize how great discord is.
The fact of the matter is, having a platform to talk with friends, family, school, work, etc and being able to stream, customize, and rely on that platform can really dig discords roots further into all of its communities. Especially the most known such as gaming and the art community.
And come on? who wouldn't want to make their own discord look however they'd want?

I'd like to see this. It would be cool to see official themes, other than light and dark.

Agreed, allowing users to customize their discord would be great. Tumblr style editing of a theme would work pretty well I think.
