Muted Symbol Takes Time to Disappear Video Chat

I was just in a video chat room and when my actual mic was muted still and I selected the unmute option in the new video call, it took a few seconds for the unmuted symbol to appear on the Windows Desktop version. It was instant from the normal mute/unmute button and when I spoke.
