moving GIF profile pictures

Why does the GIF profile pictures have to only move when you have a mouse over it?

can't it it play without you putting your mouse over it?

or at least make it an option in the settings?

    Discord don't let the gif move knowing that it would crash/bug many computers or phones not having a good memory and storage. But i like the setting idea ! Upvote
