My account got disabled for too many DMs

I started a new server and tried to grow by doing J4J[Join 4 Join] to gain some members to start off with a boost but, later that day my account got disabled because of too many DMs, how is this possible? How does discord acquire the theory that I'm spamming people in their DMs? Please help!

  weird. this shouldnt be a thing and if it is then they need to fix it. what if somebody just has a lot of friends? smh
