Blocking

Blocking people doesn't suppress notifications that they've said something. I don't like to be constantly reminded that someone I've blocked has said something. That's the whole point of blocking them.

Not only do I have to deal with in-chat notifications that there are blocked messages, I still get channel and taskbar notifications when they've said something. Maybe make that not a thing, thanks.

  Exactly, it's been many years and a simple rework for blocking system wasn't done. This feature is really needed for all messaging apps.

  Why do these topics concerning blocking/blocked functionality keep getting closed without comment from the developers or anybody that handles discord?
