As an independent artist, Nitro subscriber, and heavy regular user of Discord as a messaging platform, I feel I should let you know that I - along with most other small artists - am deeply concerned by the rumours of NFT/crypto implementation.

They're not just a scam, they're provably terrible for the environment. I'm 28 years old and I'm already living with the tangible consequences of the climate crisis. This past summer alone we survived the heat dome that killed thousands in Canada, and the rash of wildfires that had us bracing for an evacuation alert while we hid out from the suffocating blanket of smoke that covered our city. And by choosing NFTs you are actively contributing to that.

You hold the power here. But I won't be giving you any more of my money.
