Discord Direct Messaging Limit
Greetings. I'd like to suggest a new feature for people who really enjoy direct messaging on Discord. That's a direct messaging limit.
The problem is some Discord users sometimes spend so much time in messaging new people that they get their accounts disabled by Discord's anti-abuse filter. Even if they have good intent in messaging other users directly (e.g. looking for cool people to talk to, new friends, or even special someone; but not trolling, spamming, sharing malware, etc.), Discord's filter doesn't really care. This case is especially genuine for dating servers members (such as PlayRoom).
I wish we could prevent accounts getting disabled automatically by adding a (half-)daily limit on how many users outside your friend list you can message until the cooldown expires. Let's say 15 users. That means if you try to message the 16th user you could message by normal means (i.e. all the conditions from https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060145013-Why-isn-t-my-DM-going-through- are false), your message will turn red and the following system message will pop up instead of the one from the article from the link above:
Your message could not be delivered. This is because you have
sent too many messages recently. Try again later.
The cooldown should be expired in 12 or 24 hours since the time of sending your message to the first recipient during the time period. This, however, will not affect users from your friend list: you will be able to message as many friends as you want.
Hope you consider adding this feature to DM's. I don't want to lose my account again when I begin messaging so many new people and cannot stop it, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's had that problem.
Sincerly,
bignavigator.
