Suggestion: Option to rate-limit notification sounds

When you have multiple active conversations you get a whole lot of rapid-fire notification sounds which gets a bit annoying after a bit. I don't want to turn notification sounds off, but it would be nice if we could have an option to limit notification sounds to 1 per x seconds.
