We need voice messages
My friends and I recently made the switch from our group chat on Facebook Messenger to Discord but we always used voice messages. Discord lacks this feature which is crazy considering it has every other feature! Please consider adding this!

I'd love to have a setting for that but both ways. I absolutely despise the idea of voice messages and especially the idea of having speed options for that. In case you add this feature, it'd be amazing to see a profile option to turn off voice messages too. I don't want them on my servers and I don't want to condition people to send me text instead of voice messages again.
So I'd like to also consider adding some addtional settings for users and server moderators and owners:
1. Give people the general ability to record voice messages
2. Give profiles the option to deny voice messages being sent and communicate it via a quick: This user does not accept voice messages
3. Give Server owners the option to enable and disable voice messages on their server/textchat
4. Give Moderators the option to preview any voicemessages. This is controversial, but hear me out. I want you to imagine a good uneventfull evening on your sofa. You listen to your favourite lofi music and wait for friends to join the channel. Then, someone sends you a voice message. But its not a voice message. "You know the rules and so do I. Full commitment is what I'm thinking of. You wouldn't get this from any other guy." starts blasting in a distorted way on maximum volume. Your ears are ringing, the person who sent the VM already gave you up and left the server. Your evening is ruined. A different one would be the potential of harmfull advertisement or illegal stuff that someone has to sit through and it can become pretty daunting to listen to all the bs as a moderator. VM take time, they can't be read quickly and can harm you if you are not prepared.
Right now, I see how it can ruin servers without adding anything but some sort of weird pseudo space for someone to talk to no one. I want conversations, not recordings-1 -
I think having text-to-speech function is aldy enough (?
