Backspace behavior with Thai (could be other languages too)
I think this started happening in a recent version, because it’s infuriating typing in Thai now and I don’t remember ever being annoyed by this before now.
This doesn’t happen in different other app on the same OS.
Steps to reproduce
- Type a Thai word, like ที่
- Press backspace
Expected result
The first press of backspace should reduce ที่ to ที, then again, to ท, before deleting the entire character.
Actual result
Backspace deletes the entire character including all vowels and tone marks in one go, meaning you have to start the character again if you do a typo.

I don't know who got this idea of deleting everything from a character including all vowels and tone marks but I've never seen any other application did it like this in my life. Please revert this change, it's super annoying when you have to re-type the whole word just because you mistype a special character.

I'm surprised this has been a problem for this long... then there's also the problem of diacritics cutting off whenever a message is too long.
