Channel does not jump to the unread mention

When a channel shows a badge indicator for a mention and I click on that channel, the channel shows only the most recent messages. It does not jump to the mention. The user must do a manual search for who mentioned them. This is time-consuming. Would Discord update it so a channel will automatically show the earliest unread mention in a channel, rather than most recent messages?
The platform I use is macOS Monterey on Brave browser. 

Using the inbox's 'Mentions' tab:
The mention will disappear if the user clicked on the channel and scrolled to the bottom without reading the actual mention.
In addition, the Mentions tab is cumbersome because once we jump to a message, then click back to the inbox, the mention is still in the inbox until we click the x button. Would you make it so the mention disappears from the inbox once it is read?
