Remove phone verification from my account.

Discord. I removed an old phone number I don't own anymore. Instantly, I was locked out because I didn't know what happened. It says I have to use a phone to verify, but I don't. own. a. phone! Discord is the only place where I can talk to my friends who have moved, or went to a different school. I've known them since we were little kids, and it's not cool and "safe" to have that. Not everyone has a phone. Be more mindful Discord. It might help.

  Log into your account with the phone number you want to remove.
  Press on the User Settings cog wheel.
  Go to the My Account page from the left-hand column > Press Remove by the phone number.
  Follow the prompts to remove the phone number.

  First, open your device's Settings app, then head to Google, then Google Account. There, tap Security. You'll find a section labeled “2-Step Verification,” which may prompt you to sign into your Google account. There's a button there to “Turn off,” and you'll need to confirm your choice after tapping it.
