Cannot copy-paste channel using channel hashtag

On mobile, as soon as you copy-paste the exact name of a channel after a #, it will automatically fill it in as a button towards that channel. On the phone this still works, but for a couple of months this feature no longer works on my PC.

Was this feature disabled on PC, or is this a problem on my end?

I'd love to have the feature back on PC. It prevents a lot of re-typing. So if it's not a problem on my end then please re-add this feature.
