change national flag emoji names to be more intuitive
the names of the flag emojis are currently very confusing and i can never find the flag i want to use because none of them have intuitive names. i was recently trying to find the british flag emoji and i tried typing in "flag_uk", "flag_br", "flag_en" etc only to find out later that its called "flag_gb". this is weird since i pretty much never hear anyone call britain "great britain", and "flag_uk" isnt taken by anything else. its very frustrating to not be able to find the flag you want because it was named counterintuitively. "UK" is already a 2 letter abbreviation of the full name of the country so that should be the name of its flag emoji.
also, many of the national flag emojis have this problem where the 2 letters chosen as their abbreviations seem randomly chosen or based on a name for the country that is nowhere near as common as the more commonly used name for it.
i would like to see some reform as to the naming of the flag emojis, since there are a lot of them and its frustrating to not be able to find the one you want easily and have to scroll through all of them in the emoji list.
thanks for reading.

Those 2 letters aren't chosen randomly. They are part of an international standard (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2) that has been around since 1974, and it's pretty much used everywhere. On top of that those 2 letter combinations are the Emoji Flag Sequences which are a mechanism in which an emoji is created using a combination of two Regional Indicator characters.
