Requesting New Notification Features

For years, I've been pondering, Why they (DISCORD Staff) haven't programmed the separation of DMs and Globally messages at least? For my bright idea - In Discords settings, there should be Direct Message Notifications, Global Notifications, Favorite Channel Notifications, and Personal/Owner Channel(s) Notifications. Do they lack the imagination to solve this problem? They had the years of 2018 and 2019 to get this done before the chaotic year of 2020. *ugh*

I'm not trying to be rude. It's just…*rubbing my head caused headache from discord notifications* have Jason Citron and Stanislav Vishnevsky listen to their message notification go off like crazy from every server they have joined. Let's say Jason Citron and Stanislav Vishnevsky are in 35 or 50 discord channels. 2/3 of the channels are active for a minimum of 18 hours every day to every 2 - 15 mins as you hear a notification go off almost on every server/channel. You might go nuts from stressing out, even while you’re gaming to be less stressed. 

Understand the frustration? Muting all the discord channels is not the solution. Muted all the channels are just masking it and not solving anything. Use my idea and give me a discord community badge as a suggestion. I’m certain millions of users will love this feature to be added to Discord.
