You won't be able to set keybinds on the mobile or browser client!
If you've used Push-To-Talk, you're most likely familiar with Keybinds, and how they work in order to make Push-To-Talk (PTT) function appropriately.
Discord's got a couple of other super handy Keybind possibilities that you can use to become a hotkey extraordinaire.
Here's how to check them out:
1. Open your User Settings tab
2. Click the Keybinds tab
And now we're in business. We've got a few points to touch on as far as setting everything up goes.
While you can add as many separate Keybinds as you want, you have start add them individually. Start by pressing the "Add a Keybind" button:
Note: When you're editing keybinds, keybinds are disabled. Leave this page to turn them on.
Pro Tip: You can use multiple keys to bind a key. For instance (SHIFT+ENTER). Just hit the keys in sequence.
You'll find a drop-down menu with a couple of different selections:
Unassigned: This doesn't have any function! Make sure you choose a different option in the list.
Push to Talk: Hold this Keybind to temporarily enable your mic while in Push to Talk mode.
Push To Mute: Hold this Keybind to disable your mic activity while in Voice Activity mode.
Toggle Mute: Press this Keybind to toggle your mic's transmission on or off.
Toggle Deafen: Toggle your output's playback on or off. Also disables your mic.
Toggle VAD: Toggle to switch between Voice activity and Push to Talk modes.
Toggle Streamer Mode: Turns on and off streamer mode.
Toggle Overlay: Toggle the overlay on or off to display in game.
Toggle Overlay Lock: Toggle the lock of the overlay in game.
Once you've chose which selection of separate Keybinds you want to use, go ahead and click the blank box next to it:
Then enter your desired key press:
Note: I wouldn't recommend using this Keypress combination. It'd probably be pretty difficult to use.
And you're all set! Wash, rinse, and repeat for all keybinds you want to utilize.
