Videos unable to be played on whatsapp or my phone
So the last month or two a lot of videos i download from discord that i want to share with my whatsapp group cannot be played on my phone or on whatsapp.
it says "preview unavailable" before the upload. and after the upload you can't play it.
I'm forced to use https://cloudconvert.com/ to convert the mp4 i download from discord into mp4 there for them to work properly again. an example of a video that won't work:

Make sure that the video format is compatible with WhatsApp. WhatsApp supports various video formats, including MP4, AVI, and MKV. If the video you downloaded from Discord is in a different format, you may need to convert it to a compatible format using a video converter tool. Ensure that you have the latest version of Gb WhatsApp download installed on your phone. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements, which may resolve compatibility issues with certain video formats. Clearing the cache of WhatsApp can help resolve various issues, including problems with video playback. To clear the cache, go to your phone's settings, find the Apps or Application Manager section, locate WhatsApp, and then select the option to clear the cache.Sometimes, the issue may be with the specific video file you downloaded from Discord. Try re-downloading the video and see if the new file can be played on WhatsApp. If the issue persists, it may indicate a problem with the video itself.
If none of the above solutions work, you can try using a third-party video converter to convert the video downloaded from Discord into a format that is known to work well with WhatsApp. There are many online video converter tools available that can help you convert the video to a compatible format.

It sounds like the videos you download from Discord might be using a codec or format that is not fully compatible with WhatsApp or your phone's media player. WhatsApp typically supports MP4 videos with H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec. When you encounter a video that shows "preview unavailable" or can't be played after upload, it might be due to: 1. **Codec Compatibility:** The video might be using a different codec (such as H.265/HEVC) or audio format that WhatsApp doesn't support. 2. **File Corruption:** Sometimes, files downloaded from Discord may not download properly or could be corrupted, leading to playback issues. To resolve this issue, converting the videos using a service like CloudConvert to MP4 format (ensure it's using H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec) seems to be working for you. Here are some steps you can try: - Before downloading the video from Discord, check its properties or details to see what codec it uses. You might need to ensure it's using H.264 for video and AAC for audio. - Use a reliable video converter like CloudConvert to convert the videos to MP4 format with H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec. - After conversion, try uploading the converted MP4 video to WhatsApp to see if it plays correctly. This approach should help you share videos more effectively in your WhatsApp groups without encountering the "preview unavailable" or playback issues. or try https://nsapp.download/
