Microphone Audio Issue

I've been having an issue with my laptop microphone sounding robotic on my friends end, and sometimes the audio will have a pause, then it will sound like a sped up piece of audio to catch up to what I am saying.

I've been through various troubleshooting methods from a handful of articles. Things I have troubleshooted:
-Server ping (my ping was 10), server location was changed to be the closest.
-Internet connection (my speed was fast AND i was streaming HD movies on discord with literally no trouble to the video. Only issue was my microphone sounding like garbage)
-Made sure discord AND my computer were both updated to the latest drivers
-Uninstalled discord and reinstalled it.
-Restarted my computer TWICE
-Disabled QoS (Quality of Service) as recommended in many articles.
-My CPU usage never goes above 90%
-I also tested out both microphones separately in Audacity to see if the audio input was the issue. Both microphones sounded absolutely fine through. I have talked through Facebook messenger with no mention of my microphone audio sounding robotic. It is only Discord that my microphone seems to be having issue with.

I have the built in microphone and a USB connected microphone. My friend said both sounded the same no matter when I switched. My friend sent me a recorded audio of me through Discord and it sounds awful.

I'm at a loss at what to do here, I feel like I've tried every troubleshooting idea I can think of.
