Searchable Hashtags

So in my art server we are wanting to separate posts in the same channel with what each one is about, such as anatomy, shading, gesture, etc. If we ask the members to use a specific tag for their post like #anatomy, then the search function searches for the word but doesn't recognize the special character.

If you have thoughts about how we could accomplish this while still making the idea inviting, Please let me know.
