Changelog for Server Changes

I have a small-ish server with a couple hundred people on it, but have a couple of mods that I work with to keep the server polished and interactive. Currently I have them dm me whenever they make any changes to the server (anything that would show up in the server log), but I think it would be super helpful for them to be able to go to an actual changelog (or the server audit log) and be able to add notes (for instance, 'xx_badusernames_xx made changes to random ft. musicboi' could have the note 'changed channel name to general + groovybot for ease of understanding' so not only do I know what was changed, but why)
I had considered a channel on the server that had only mods for this purpose, but we try to avoid unneeded channels and the server isn't really that big.
