Color Options on client-side for the Colorblind and Personal Preference.
Hello there,
One thing brought up so often in discord are the light & dark modes, which both fair in their own right, but don't nearly encompass all the possible options for people. I've had complaints about members wanting no colors at all for their roles (it looks cleaner and minimal), some wanting them all to be (believe it or not) one color, and even mixups with some colorblind friends over VC over said roles! I think a simple solution could be approached to fix all of this, or at least some.
This is really a request that boils down to being able (on client side) see the role colors. If disabled, they all appear in their default invisible/white/black color (depending on mode), if on, you see all the role colors. It'd help the colorblind and appease all parties. I hope Discord considers this option.
Another request I have, would be to instead of having Light/Dark mode, have a slider from Dark to Light mode, for contrast. Dark and Light mode are two extremes, and as it stands, Light mode isn't very popular. Having a balance between the two spectrum's would improve member UI and probably make a lot of people happy. It would give lighter themes a bigger purpose. I know I like dark mode, but I'd definitely prefer a inbetween of dark & light, ying & yang.
Anyway, that's my request. It's fairly small, but seeing as how I haven't heard it mentioned before, I thought I'd be the first. It'd make it a lot easier to organize roles for my colorblind friends and not have the SUN'S SCORCHING RAYS PIERCE MY EYES every time I want to up the brightness. :)
