Ping spikes to 5000, have to rejoin to fix temporarily

Whenever I'm in a discord call my ping will spike to 5000. Usually every like 10 minutes, but it has happened to me before like 3 times in 2 minutes. This has been happening to me for about 4 days now and I've been searching for an answer and have found nothing. Please fix this, I don't think there is anything wrong with my connection because while I get 5000 ping in discord, if I'm playing a game its perfectly fine, no interruptions in-game.
