Stream not loading
So whenever i am on a call and my friends decide to screen share the stream, the screen doesn't appear and it shows the loading sign over and over ....only happening on pc not mobile

Turn off those 2 settings and should work. That helped my friend.
Go to User Settings >>> Voice & Video

i have been using OPERA GX and i can screen share stream but i cant watch other people sharing

This may not work for everyone but I have had the same issue with my discord and tried legit everything in the settings hard reinstalling my discord nothing works. I checked for driver updates (I have a nvidia gpu) I installed the new update for my drivers and the discord stream started working again. This should also work for AMD just check to see if you need a driver update.
In AMD there should be something similar to this but I haven't used a AMD GPU in a bit, but for Nvidia users if you have GeForce experience go to drivers and click check for update

A GPU it what processes the visuals on your screen its probably just built into your CPU which is called a CPU with "integrated graphics" in short its not possible you don't have one at all.

This video will show you how to figure out what GPU you have then you just need to install the drivers needed you might need intel drivers because your pc is most likely quite old using windows 7.

hi so I have had this issues like everyone here but I've changed the settings but nothing happened I reloaded the stream the call and even deleted discord I believe I've done everything but nothing works can someone help

For Opera GX user, you need to turn ON "Use hardware acceleration when available" to be able to watch your friend stream on Opera GX (Fix loading forever) but you need to turn it OFF if you want to share your browser screen using discord application on pc (Fix black screen problem).

thanks for the reply,now when my friends stream it doesnt show black screen it shows that loading sign over and over.....like if they want to share their youtube it shows the loading sign for me

it was fine on my chrome but my pc cant handle my google chrome so its not responding then i moved to friefox and witnessed this glitch so i moved to opera and i am facing the same glitch .....now is it a glitch or browser problem ..also the bots are extremely slow :(

I have the same problem where I can hear my friend's streams, but the visuals are not loading. I know it should work as I scroll over and see the thumbnail image change as they play different games or watch different videos. However, we have resorted to my friends streaming on their video with obs rather than just screen sharing ;-;

thing is i dont have a gpu :(.....its just a normal pc with windows 7....and its been 2 weeks and i am still facing this thing T_T....now is this my computer's problem or their glitch idk...

Sniff don't know why, the same happened to my friend on Windows 8, but I'm not sure if that problem is for users that aren't using Windows 10.

Same bug occured to me on windows 8 and turning off hardware acceleration worked for me too

The above settings mentioned by gearkiler did it for me as well. Out of nowhere my second PC that i use for streams and such just all the sudden was having this issue, even though I didnt change any settings prior. I'm assuming a discord update changed the setting in between times I used that PC to watch a stream.... Worked instantly again after toggling them both off, just had to reload the stream itself for settings to take effect.

yoo gearkiller thank u sm all of my friends study on discord and it was a big problem cause i never could see what they are screensharing while explaining. And now its fixed and my streams load again

For all those browser users whose streams just keep on loading would suggest to
Flush DNS cache
just google it up and you will find some tutorial

Seems like nothing is fixing it for Opera GX so far...

funny thing is that I'm also using Opera GX and the stream will load for me on there but when i try and watch on the desktop app it wont load. can i get help with that.
