Better colors needed on light theme for "high contrast text" setting in Android

If you enable Android's built in "high contrast text" mode it makes light theme a whole lot better and easier to see. But there's one problem. The time a message was sent is interpreted as white text and gets an ugly black outline around it because of how light it is. Here's a picture showing the problem. If the text was just a tad darker android would make it look black instead and it would be better to read.
