This new update is blinding me
I have trouble with bright colours (some moreso than others) and so I usually keep high-contrast options off. When this new update rolled around I thought that maybe Discord had automatically checked some high-contrast option for me, and so I spent about 5 minutes going through the settings and trying to find some option to tick so that I could go back to normal.
You can imagine how that went.
Unfortunately, the new 'blurple' is one of the colours that assaults my eyes the most - I've been struggling to interact with buttons and god forbid I click on someone's profile and they're playing a game. I can't look at the blurple for longer than a few moments, and my brain will blur anything and everything around it.
I have issues regarding dissociation, and it tends to manifest in a way where I'm looking 'through' the screen instead of at it, basically defocusing anything I try to read. I've gotten better at guessing or trying to squint/stare my way through words, but this blurple causing my brain to blur things even more is making it almost impossible to read at all, even with my usual guesswork. (In case you're wondering, my glasses don't help, either - usually this exacerbates the issue in some way)
Please change this, or at least give some kind of 'low-contrast' option for people who can't handle bright colours, regardless of what their reason may be.

I agree, the contrast between the new color and the dark mode gray is causing me a very unpleasant experience whenever I look at the two colors together
