The sound hardware allocation is malfunctioning

When choosing an output device, discord will hog the device and deprive the rest of the system of that channel (even if you uncheck the "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"-option).

Also, it simply doesn't work half of the time. Even if you select an output-channel, oftentimes it only results in no sounds at all from discord.

The hardware alloacation is broken and is disrupting the general system, please fix it asap
