Change in mic sensitivity?

I met my long distance boyfriend through discord in December, and previously we would blow kisses to each other and we could hear them. He just finally visited me (no longer nevermets!) And now that he's returned home his mic sensitivity seems to have changed in discord. I can no longer hear his kisses, and he hears less background noise from me which sometimes makes it feel like I'm not there, and it's all around making us sad. Could we have the option to more fine tune mic sensitivity to our preferred levels so we can hear cute comforting things? Thank you

    I have also found this same problem in the last couple weeks (September 2022), the mic sensitivity has decreased a lot and the section to adjust this with a slider and toggle have disappeared.

    I used to be able to use my mic 2 feet in front of me on my desk no problem, now it only works when it is 2" from my lips.
