Discord is probably the best app for streaming games and such to friends. However, it can be approved when someone with an ultrawide screen tries to stream (say 5120 x 1440), which is starting to pick up.

Try watching a streamer with an ultrawide screen and it's terribly stretch with black bars. However, most of the game happens in the center, with the sides just being extra peripheral vision. Not too much would be lost except maybe some stats and minimaps on various games.

So simple solution: simply crop out the edges and show the center for most viewers, or at least an option to do it to their screen resolution.
