Discord's mobile app on android does not allow users to open android's notification conversation settings
Discord's app on android uses the conversations feature that was introduced in android 11, however upon viewing the notification settings for specific discord channels, dms, or gorup chats, there is no in-app way to open the conversation settings for the notifications for that channel or dm.
This makes it difficult to set specific channels to have priority notification status on android as it forces the user to wait for notifications form every conversation before allowing them to modify this setting, and it makes it ourtight impossible to do so on android skins like OneUI that do not allow a user to set a conversation as priority simply by pressing and holding the notification.
This is problematic for users who want to use android's conversations feature to make specific discord dms and channels set as priority or silent conversations in android's settings. There are plenty of use cases where it is beneficial for an android user to be able to set a channel, DM or group as silent or priority within android's notification settings in addition to being able to control how discord treats their ping.
(ex. Users may want them priority to sound when their phone is on silent, or appear as grouped with their priority conversations from other apps and with the conversation icon in their status bar. They may want to set conversations to silent if they still want to receive notificaitons for a certian conversation but want it not to sound or to be of minimized importance in their notification tray.)
Ideally this would be implemented similar to how it is in google messagges, where when you enter the settings for a specific message/conversation, it shows a button that lets you access android's notification settings for that conversation.
I imagine in Discord for server channels this would be placed as an option in the under where you set a channel's notification settings when you tap the header > settings > notification settings. Just under All Messages, Only @ mentions, and Nothing there would be a button for this titled “System Notification Settings” or something similar.
For DMS, the current “mute” button could be turned into a notification settings button with mute options and system settings options similarly to how it is aleady set up for channels, or a third option could be shown in the DM details view where you can access this setting.
Below are screenshots of where I imagine this option would lie, as well as the button in google messages which opens the android conversation settings per conversation.
