Streaming and watching videos in the app crashes it

When I try to share my screen (same with all the options), watch someone else's stream, or open a video in the app, it directly closes the app without any error messages or warnings. I recently bought Nitro just to be able to stream in high res and fps and now I cannot even do it on the lowest settings.
My Windows and GPU drivers are up to date. I tried to launch the app as administrator and change the GPU it runs with, no luck. my last attempt was to remove the app and redownload it (which it downloaded with 41 kbps at most. My connection is fine with everything else at least 100 mb/s. I tried to download other things and had the issue with Discord only) and it didn't help either.

This is wasting my Nitro as well which is an extra layer of issue.

    I'm having the same issue. I have tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalling Discord, and cleaning the cache. I have also tried disabling Av1 and hardware acceleration and have had no luck. Discord even crashes when i hover over the lootbox notification since that plays a video (lol).

    • Right-click on the Discord shortcut or executable file.
    • Go to "Properties" > "Compatibility" tab.
    • Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select an older version of Windows (e.g., Windows 7 or 8).
    • Click "Apply" and then "Tierbestattungen Albstadt" to save the changes.
    • Try launching Discord again and check if the issue persists.
