Privacy
Hello!
I was of the impression that the “chillin” status, that you cannot opt out of and must automatically click every single time you use voice, at least didn't violate your privacy anymore.
That is not the case. If you go to the top of your friends' list on mobile, your friends who are chatting in voice channels on servers that you are not in still show up if that friend has a status active. This is complely unacceptable and a continued violation of my privacy. If I overlook clicking this button for privacy when I join a call, other people can stick their noses in my business. I wouldn't be as angry if I opted into it, but there is no way to opt out of it entirely.
This seems entirely backwards. We should be able to opt-in to something that violates our privacy, not have to opt out of it. Worse, having to unclick it every single time. Sometimes, I don't want to be perceived. Sometimes, my friends don't want to be perceived. I don't think you have to be doing anything you're ashamed of to not want to be perceived.
I am livid after having it pointed out to me that the automatically and unconsensually applied “chillin” status allows people to see me in voice channels for servers they aren't in on the top of their friends list from their mobile phones.
Bad form.

This.
At this point, it is probably time to look up how to make complaints to the relevant EU agencies.
