Account hacked and email changed
I downloaded a file from a friend and opened it, which logged me out of my account and changed my details.
However I still do have access to my account, I logged in using my phone number.
When I logged back in I saw that all my 2FA and back up codes were disabled. I have enabled them back, however the email is changed.
I cannot change the email back to my own due to not having access to the hackers email.
However I have made a lot of payments in the past on my main email, which I hope can help with proving the account is mine.
I have opened a support ticket but haven't gotten a response in 5 days.
I am wondering if I did something wrong?
Can discord help me with this?
TLDR:
Downloaded a file and got my account almost stolen, I have access to everything except the email. Can discord help me restore the account back to the old email?

I am having somewhat similar issues, hacker took my account, changed the email, then made a discord account with my email and I think its causing the bot + support issues or something… Genuinely cannot understand this system but I say that you just try to space them out a bit and try to keep them from saying “resolved” with replies.

having the same issue but i have been able to turn of 2fa and hopefully this will lock my account that was hacked.

I got my account and email back guys.
Discord resolved it after 3 tickets.
