PLEASE revert the UI.

So many people have said this before. The new UI that's been enforced on mobile is extremely garbage. As someone with minimal UX/UI design knowledge, it's such an eyesore to use and breaks so many already-established modern design standardizations. When I first started doing UI designing, the first thing you learn is extremely basic rules of the “do's” and “don't's” in designing, and the new UI can't even do the basics properly.

They created this UI to innovate for the sake of innovation. Companies keep “refreshing” things because they feel like it, trying to solve problems that never even existed in the first place. Because they feel like if they don't, they'll become outdated. Look at Steam. Steam had the same library and interface for a very, very long time. Then a few years back, they finally revamped Steam. But it ultimately ended up exactly the same, with a new coat of paint. And that's GREAT! They knew what they had already worked perfectly fine, and just needed a bit of a slight visual overhaul. Because at the end of the day, that's all that was needed, though I feel if they didn't change it at all people wouldn't've complained in the slightest, because it was just that good. It was clean, simple, and effective.

Here's a friendly tip; if it isn't broken, don't fix it. And while the old UI did have a couple small issues, they're completely outweighed by the new UI. In fact, the UI didn't even solve the old UI's problems, not only creating new ones, but leaving existing problems either untouched or further exacerbated.

Not to mention how many people I know who have disabilities where accessibility is a must, and the new UI is a massive pain for them to use compared to the old one even after all this time.

Even all this time later, I'm STILL swiping left to view the member list, and instead it replies. I can't view members properly anymore, I can only view members who are in the same channel I'm in (or at least have access to it), but I can't view the entire unfiltered list like I used to be able to do. There were separate things that were easy to use that got condensed down into things like “Notifications” which has made things a hassle.

There's just… ugh… there's so many problems with this UI. It's created more problems and it's so far solved none. I'd do anything to get the old UI back on iPhone and iPad.
