Unobtrusive image loading

Issue:

When i click on an image in the mobile app, it shows the preview resolution with a dark 50% opacity overlay and the text “0%” as a loading indicator which hinders me from looking at the image. (The 0% number also never changes until the image is fully loaded)

Solution:

Put the loading indicator somewhere in the corner of the screen if anything, and/or make the overlay more transparent. Most of the times, the preview resolution is enough for me and i just want to look at the picture in full screen.
