Message Threads
TamamlandıHi Discord Team and dear reader!
This would be a feature request for Message Threads, like we can see on Slack.
As a matter of fact, when sending messages in a crowded channel (+15ppl) conversations can easily get lost in the mix. Message threads solve this issue by creating a "sub-channel" on the message that initiated the thread, allowing participants to continue their conversation without spamming the main channel and allowing other users to do the same.
Thanks a lot,
loving Discord!

Another vote for threads!

Yes please!!! I totally support, I even beg for this feature!

We really need to have threads in Discord, it's the number one problem we face.
We are a startup community with over 200 people and it is very difficult to have a conversation without getting lost.2 -
I also vote for this feature

Adding in my vote!

This please!!

Discord needs threads. This is a feature that was needed years ago, and even more-so now. I use slack primarily and the one thing that makes it SIGNIFICANTLY better are the threads.

Threads would be a feature that would bring so much! It's eagerly awaited by all my entourage and I see there that this post has been around for more than 2 years already?
Please tell me that this feature will arrive before the next two years !?
I don't even understand why it's not in prio :p

I can't stress enough how important the threads feature is! When sending messages in a crowded channel, it gets so chaotic and takes a while to figure out who is talking to who. Coming from Slack, our teamwork and collaboration heavily rely on threads and while Discord has some absolutely amazing features, the lack of threads is a huge blocker! Threads would be a huge win and would allow our teams to use it fully and efficiently for all our communication.

Adding in my vote!
This is a must have feature for groups/teams that discuss multiple topics. Making a (sub)channel for every (sub)categorie is not the most efficient way to handle this.3 -
This one feature has been the only thing delaying our our community moving from Slack to Discord for just over two years now so another vote from us!

IF this feature is implemented, i know tons of companies and my company will move from slack to discord and paid for it monthly... please implement it

*cue me doing my monthly look at this thread to see if anything changed*

Yeah unfortunately nothing has changed

It was in development, but there's no guarantee, let alone an ETA.

Still not done almost a year before, when I was looking for an alternative to Slack in the company I used to work. This was the only feature missing to move from Slack to Discord.
2 -
Does anyone here know how to become an alpha tester of this feature (or other things)? The company I work for moved from Slack 2 months ago, and we want threads sooooo bad!

You can try the canary build: https://discordapp.com/api/download/canary?platform=win
There's also a discord server associated with beta's: https://discord.com/invite/discord-testers
IOS/Android beta's are harder to come in, but you'll find that info in the server.

Awesome! Thanks! My previous version was Discord PTB, didn't know they also had a canary version.

Any news about this feature? I think it should be the priority to compete with Slack and similars

You see all of these comments? They're all related to a specific subject, and they're in a thread. Can you imagine supporting feature requests in a UI that didn't support threading? What if l feature requests for Discord used Discord? It would be unreadable, do we agree? Great! Please add this feature. #okthxbye

Agreed! This would be great for a cleaner and easier text chat interface.

I lost in the huge amount of messages in every channel everyday. Really need the thread feature to help me make up the messages.

Pretty astonished this doesn't exist. Going to see if we can switch our group to Slack

How is it possible that this has not been implemented yet?
