Message Threads

Hi Discord Team and dear reader!
This would be a feature request for Message Threads, like we can see on Slack.
As a matter of fact, when sending messages in a crowded channel (+15ppl) conversations can easily get lost in the mix. Message threads solve this issue by creating a "sub-channel" on the message that initiated the thread, allowing participants to continue their conversation without spamming the main channel and allowing other users to do the same.

A lot of people from all walks of life try making discord communities and this is a MUST in order to make them viable. Not having this keeps driving people away.
This is by far the most commented chat feature request reflecting the frustration that exists without it, please prioritize it higher.

Learning communities are also now on Discord. It would be great if we have message threads so each person asking for help could have their own threads. Previous solved threads can also be referenced for future learners.

In the bottom left when you go into settings you have more specific information of your current build.

I just recently started using Discord and really need chat threads. I have been running FB groups and thought I would like the switch but it is really hard to follow conversations and keep things organized for easy reading. I am shocked this isn't part of the interface on the text channels. My community is going to try it for a couple of weeks - hoping this is something in the works!

We wanted to give app developers at least 2 months heads up so you all can update your bots and be ready to go whenever we do ship threads. Please keep in mind that bots on older API versions will receive NO gateway events for threads, or messages in threads, so updating is important!

Threads — the ability to create a nested conversation under one specific message — will also arrive to Discord this summer. Threads are great to explore random tangents without derailing the main conversation, or to host a spoiler-filled conversation.

I tested a little, and only minus for now is that every thread that i started is shown in form of subcannel, and it seems that it cannot be turned off. It's pretty impractical and crowded to see all your threads in form channel on left side, where is chanells list
