No, switching to do not disturb blocks everyone's call. I want to be able to block just one person's call.

This one is huge. I have a Discord server for my Twitch followers. I want those server members to be able to send me a direct text-based message but I do NOT want them randomly calling me when I'm online trying to do something. The two settings should be separate and controllable so that I can allow friends and server members to text message me but NOT direct call me.

I agree, there is nothing worse then trying to sort out a problem and someone keeps calling you, maybe a block all voice calls feature that you can switch on and off?

This would be a really good feature! I use discord a lot to communicate with people using my minecraft mods, and I like the ability to DM people without adding them as friends, but don't want them randomly calling me. If I could disable calls from non-friends in the settings, that would be perfect. Even blocking per-person wouldn't be bad, but would still not prevent random people from suddenly calling, who I would have to block after the fact.

I'm with these guys. Please revisit this thread. We need to be able to block all incoming calls and block the ability for people to add you to group chats without your confirmation. Maybe just some toggle switches to disable incoming calls and a toggle for group chat adding.

Hello I am an owner of a group with 500 members and get actively spammed with calls from my discord I don't prefer to get called 24/7 but texting me is ok can we please make this separation possible so that more people can whether decide they can rather be called or messaged too, it would be a really good change

I agree. I love to use Discord with my people when Im gaming. But I would not like to receive calls at all. We definitely need the option of not receiving calls. I rather be able to communicate when Im in Discord server actively gaming or text. Please consider this as an option.

Agreed. I am sick and tired of being near my computer, having Discord set to AWAY and people continue to spam me, calling me nonstop it seems sometimes. Or worse, I am happily gaming in a channel and someone feels the need to call me, not bothering that I am already in a channel they could simply join. I HATE calling on Discord, if I could I would simply 100% disable it. For the life of me I cannot figure out why it even exists or what functionality it adds. It is simply a private channel instance.
A 100x more helpful feature would be to add WHISPERS such as TeamSpeak has. Set hotkey for group or individual and by pressing you initiate PTT to that person/group only. Of course this would need the ability to be disabled as well or it would have the same problems as calling.

AGREED! Is this not implimented still? Ridiculous. Completely fine receiving text messages, i want them. But calls lock up my computer for a moment when i receive them. Unacceptable.

Come on discord! We need the ability to block incoming calls. How do we escalate this issue or bring more awareness to this post?

Need this! Was about to make another post about this.. I hate people randomly calling but I don't want to be on Do Not Disturb all the time nor do I want to disable calling altogether. An option to disable receiving calls altogether in the privacy and safety tab of the settings and also options to block calls from individual users would be much appreciated!! Maybe the privacy/safety option can have a few settings? Like the "Allow pms from server members" could be "Allow calls from server members" so you can choose to only allow friends to call you? We need SOMETHING!

This would be an amazing feature, especially for group Direct Messages
Direct messages call each person by ringing their computer or phone. This becomes increasingly annoying when group calls are made multiple times every day, especially during work, school, driving, etc. there is currently no way to stay in a direct message group while at the same time not receiving calls. Please make selective call dismissing an option.

I have one person that doesn't seem to understand that if I am not in a voice channel mean that I am not talking to people at the moment so instead of sending me a message for me to read later, he calls me. For the love of god just give me the ability to block incoming calls. That's all I need. I don't want to put up do not disturb because I'm not so busy as to not be able to go ahead an read something real quick, or that I really don't want to be disturbed. If I don't want to be disturbed then I am gonna turn it on. I just want to not have random calls when I am on the computer because someone is bored or has an idea that they want to run by me.

Just got a call from someone I don't know and also don't share any servers with. And I have the 'permit DMs from server members' off as well, for what that's worth. I have no idea why this random person was even permitted to call me.
This would be a very nice feature to have.

I use Discord frequently and its pretty annoying to have to close the pop-up everytime a viewer calls
But I don't want to block them or deny text-based messages

I'm here, 2 years after my initial post. I cant believe that they have not said anything or fix anything...
discord gods ANSWER even if it saying not. At this point I would be happy wit even a flat no.
