Voice Chat Audio Equalization

People have different microphones, this becomes a problem quickly during voice chat. Some people are very close to their mic, or their mic amplifies their voice a lot, and some people keep their distance from their mic, or their mic is simply not that good at picking up the audio correctly. I wish discord had some sort of equalization for this, that tries to make everyone sound about the same volume. (Could be turned off if you wanted to)

    Its a good feature to have I agree, think its called audio normalization though.

    you can do it manually but I wish discord did it automatically. Further, I wish discord had the ability to boost some voices more than 200%.

    That's what I noticed as well. If you're talking to just one person, you can fix their individual volume. But if it's a group of people in one voice channel, it becomes tricky.

    It would be great if they give us an option to normalize audio via voice chat room option. I can see a complication with this option though -- if someone's mic is picking up unwanted noise in the background, that will also be amplified. I guess you can mitigate it by also having the option to turn off the normalization to certain people, as exceptions. Or have a slider on how much normalization occurs for each person. 

    Audio compression would be a great implementation as well as to normalize volume. Compression tightens the volume range of speakers, while normalize can set the highest volume for everyone.

    Wanted to bump this. This is more and more desirable with time as the discord audience widens.
