Screen Sharing Fullscreen Applications

Currently, you cannot screen share an application that uses exclusive fullscreen, only applications that use windowed or borderless fullscreen mode. The two specific applications that I encountered this problem with are Osu! and Assassin's Creed II, but there are many others.

They both work if I share my entire monitor but not the specific program, but the problem with this is that I am no longer sharing my sound as well at that point. Alternatively, I could run the applications in a window instead of fullscreen, but that increases input latency, which in a game like Osu! is detrimental. So I have to choose between no audio and greatly increased input latency.

I'm not sure if being unable to capture fullscreen applications is a limitation of Windows (I've noticed that OBS also has trouble with some exclusive fullscreen applications, although not all of them), but if it's something that can be solved by Discord's development team, I would very much like to see it solved.

Using Windows 10 and Discord build 39387 if it matters. I have been told by a Discord employee that this is not a bug and that it is currently intended for Discord's screen share feature to be limited to windowed mode/borderless fullscreen.

I'm still having this issue with osu! specifically. Upon release of the new patch that enables Go Live on all servers, I found that you can stream osu! on fullscreen with audio. I'd love to see fullscreen sharing brought back to the Share Screen function in private calls.

I have the same issue with Fallout 4, I can't stream the sound while sharing a screen or it has to be in windowed mode for me. I wonder if there is a work around by making your Stereo mix an input (microphone) option and letting it play sounds played on your computer as a microphone (though this would mean anyone talking would hear their own voice played back to them and mute you; unless you use another application like a voice changer that can let you hear your own voice back).
