personalize notification sounds

Currently on desktop, direct tags have the same notification tone and this cannot be changed. In fact, there is only 1 sound available for all desktop notifications. Please allow us to personalize the notification tones on the desktop version so I know immediately that I've been tagged and can tell without searching all of my servers which Server has just sent a notification

    It's really annoying, I logged in today and it was like “Discord now has Loot Boxes!!!11!". 

    I was hoping it was an April Fools.. 

     

    Being able to differentiate between DMs and Server Notifications is like the MVP, then further granularity of alerts can come later. Its just really annoying.

    5 years later and still nothing comparable… Being able to personalise notifications, be it for different sounds for different people or actions on a server, sounds like a must-have. I don’t get why it isn’t a feature yet… We can only hope, huh?

    YES. PLEASE. Things are an absolute nightmare when you have over 100 servers. This is absolutely needed for usability's sake. Please, implement notification customization for both PC and Mobile.

    Also, let us pick separate sounds for direct name highlights.

    Wow. Has it really been 5 YEARS since I started getting emails notifying me about about this support thread; assuming that it would be addressed in a few updates. 

    You know, I guess it's true. In the end, the real simple feature that shouldn't even need to be requested, is the friends we made along the way.
