Make the tray icons for the Linux version changeable?

Is it possible to make the tray icons for the Linux version changeable? I found them in the .config/discord directory but when I replaced them with my custom versions and ran the program, they were reverted back to their original look. Then I tried to make the custom icons read-only using "sudo chattr +i tray.png" and "sudo chattr +i tray-unread.png" but when I ran the program I saw a message about a failed script inside core.asar (the attached screenshot) and discord refused to run. Since I can't edit the asar file, I can only ask you to make these icons changeable, so that the linux users can have better icons.
The original icons "tray.png" and "tray-unread.png" are butt ugly!
