Pictures taken with my phone camera won't upload

Discord mobile on Android (latest version of app, Pixel 2 XL, Android version 10) refuses to upload any v pictures I take with my phone camera. No other types of images are affected. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as messing with lots of my camera settings. It's really annoying to have to screenshot my photos to send them in chat.

    Well, I don't know if this will help anyone looking here but I just had this problem and fixed it (so far).

    I went into the app. info and denied Discord access to my camera

    For me: Hold icon - select app. info - go to permissions - select camera - deny.

    Then I went right back into discord and tried to take a picture. Now Discord has to ask permission again, allow, it just works.

    It's only my highest res photos. I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the photos taken with the 108 megapixel setting won't display despite being underneath my nitro upload limit. If I lower the resolution or compress the photo then it's fine. It's also worth noting, the photos upload but then no one in the server can view them, which makes no sense.

    Ever find a solution to this? 

    I have the same phone (Pixel 2 XL) and this has been a huge pain for me for months.  What's the point in paying for nitro so I can upload high res photos if the app just refuses to send them?

    Note 20 Ultra here, just got the phone and started having this issue. Why in the heck has this not been fixed by now?

    Galaxy S9 here, been having this same problem for a few months. Its only discord too, the photos send fine through other messaging apps. what does it take to get someone to fix things around here?

    Same issue.  Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

    Update, 04/19/2021 - after upgrading to nitro from nitro classic this stopped happening for me. I believe the issue is the pics are too high quality and go over upload limit. With nitro you get higher upload limit.

    Still a problem here: iPhone SE fully updated, camera photos, downloaded photos, videos, etc. So glad I'm not paying for this anymore.

    Adding my voice to the masses Galaxy S21 108mp photos won't display on discord even with nitro. It's a real shame because I want to share photos in a photography discord.

    Same here. It will upload ONE pic that seems stuck in some sort of queue that I sent once after first getting the device. I can’t figure out how to put more photos into that queue or to post from my camera.

    D20 Ultra here, same problem. Uploads a blank square for *most* photos unless compressed.

    I have a 3 year old phone. it used to work (half the time) but now stopped working all together. i have put it on the lowest setting. still doesn't work. It's a broken feature. Xiaomi mi a2 lite.

    Ive seen this problem been reported so many times like there are even comments from almost a year ago plz fix. Or just get rid of the option. Just do somwthing about it.

    I didn't have a problem until i got nitro classic and nolonger have it. My pics usually range from 3-5mb and usually always sent, now nolonger do

    The newer androids take pictures in a higher resolution than discord allows, if you have the ability to take a lower res pic it will work. Or if you screenshot your pic you are trying to send, the screenshot will work. Just fyi, it's annoying and aggravating as heck, but apparently it's not a big enough thing for discord to bother with updating so that higher res photos can post.
