Chat font scaling isn't work

Can confirm that changing the font scaling doesn't have any effect; running Android 7

I figured out what is going on. On some Android devices discord uses the default text size from the device. For some reason either the device or discord will not allow it to change. What I was able to do is go into the settings on my tablet and change the device font size setting. Doing this made the font size in discord larger, however it will effect other apps as well

Excellent so the choice is either change default font in Android and adjust every app so that i can write and edit in Discord or...
Have tiny, tiny little text in Discord.

Moral of this story, as with Microsoft never, ever, ever apply an update unless you really have to.

Bumping this topic after a most annoying and time consuming exchange with support in which they initially seemed not to know what the F it was I was talking about, got me to post a bunch of screenshots proving it didn't work, then claimed the problem was fixed after I changed my global device font size setting then, after screaming at them and their incompetence, they palmed me off to here.
In closing, one year later, the font scaling option in the mobile app still does not work.
