Search function broken.

It seems that this is something that is broken for me but not for others.

 

When I try to search from:<user> or mentions:<user> (the most important ones) it shows nothing, but when I search for usernames it *kinda* works and shows only the posts in plain text. I can't look for the ID number of a user, either. Others who mod with me on a busy server do not have this issue, but it seems that I do.

 

It's obviously a bug that doesn't hit everyone so I am not sure why I have this issue. What else can I do? Should I uninstall/reinstall Discord?

    Before you ask next time, try the basic steps like install / reinstall.

    So the answer is yes, try to uninstall and afterwards install again.

    I figured it out via my own troubleshooting and comparing all of my settings with someone else's. My issue was with Developer Mode being toggled on. For some reason Dev Mode interferes with the search function.

     

    I'd prefer not to go through the motions to uninstall /reinstall if there are other things that may be at play, which is why I asked. Way too many times that's been overkill when there is just a setting or something that may be interfering. In this case, it would have been.
