Making replies pause during a quote reply

Here is the problem with the quote/reply feature. if there is a rapid conversation going on, its blowing by so fast that its impossible for me to move my mouse fast enough to click the reply button. it keeps scrolling out of the way. 

Would be nice if there was a feature to autopause the scrolling if you are hovering your mouse over reply as in getting ready to quote someone.
