Allowing BD would have a big, very big impact on security, as you'd be basically allowing users to run malicious code (eg get your token, or even infect your computer with viruses), that would rip off the benefits of allowing it in the first place. In addition to that, TOS changes would need to be made, which isn't exactly the easiest thing... -4 -
Other than being against TOS, Better discord is also unsafe, someone could have uploaded a theme with a keylogger/IPGrabber/TokenGrabber, even with CSS it's not safe if it's not the official Discord Client, and that's why the terms of service said you mustn't edit the client in any way shape or form. 1 -
To be honest, I was about the accept to download betterdiscord. Though, after reading this thread that's a big no from me.

People should be able to choose which client they want to use. The default Discord client is proprietary software.

If you use BD your accepting the risk, They can get out of all liability just by saying "use of external programs to modify Discord or it's assets is done at your own risk" But, I rest my case, Probs gonna get my account disabled for defending it

I think they should add new themes, but not betterdiscord in a whole.
