Snap Camera integration with Discord (MacOS)
https://snapcamera.snapchat.com/guides/
Snap Camera, an application for Windows and Mac that alters your camera and reportedly works on the former platform by switching to "Snap Camera" under the Camera section in Voice & Video settings, which doesn't work for the Mac client of Discord (both PTB and normal). There is no option to switch from your default webcam to Snap Camera.

I found a workaround for this problem in order to get the option of choosing Snap Camera when clicking the small arrow at the camera icon. The problem is that the app does not recognize Snap Camera as an input and in order for it to do so we need to remove the code signature from a certain file. Typing the following in the terminal should do the job
sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Discord.app/Contents/Frameworks/Discord Helper (Renderer).app"
This will prompt for your admin password, and after a relaunch you should have the option of choosing Snap Camera (and any other virtual camera)

Worked as well, thanks a lot for sharing!!0 -
heyy how did u do it? I already done the code in terminal and the option snap camera is there but the screen goes black :((

If the screen only shows black instead of the camera feed, it could be that another app is using your camera. Make sure this isn’t the case.

Wait how do you do the code in terminal exactly? I'm so confused. I typed it in terminal but it continues onto another line with just: '>'
am I supposed to do something else? @frikyard

Frikard Ellemann Bundao The Snap Camera option appeared but it's just showing a black screen. Is there a solution for this?

Yes that fix also only shows me a black screen. I dont think it has anything to do with security settings either.

I'm found the way to do this:
- Download OBS app (from here: https://obsproject.com/)
- Create Scene connect with Snap camera
- Start Virtual Camera
- If Discord not show OBS Camera, run this command to terminal and restart discord: sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Discord.app/Contents/Frameworks/Discord Helper (Renderer).app"
- Now you I can use Snap camera via OBS. Hope this help

Hello, i have a problem i would like to show too you guys because i cant fix it. I already did a few things and im pretty stupid with technology, so just add me on Discord (Username:박종건#2780). My Discord normal version and PTB dont show me the option snap camera, but snap camera works fine. When i go to Obs i cant choose Snap camera either. Btw im on Windows 10. Frikard Ellemann you have a solution for that?

Hmm… unfortunately I don’t know much about Windows, I’m afraid… I guess the solution might be similar, but I don’t know how to execute it on Windows.

Dương Jerry Frikard Ellemann for some reason I can't get neither OBS to recognize snapcam as a video capture device, not can i get Discord to recognize snapcam after using the terminal code either, it's as though snapcam doesnt exist even tho it's launched??
