On Facebook, you can record and send a voice clip via messenger and send it as a message. Having this feature in Discord would be pretty convenient if you don't want to type out a super long message.

  Yes!
  Especially in those times of social distancing, people are trying to organize in communities and Discord allows for a lot of organization, but this is a sore thumb. Lacking this feature makes people much more resistant to move from e.g. WhatsApp or Telegram to Discord.

  I agree in every phone program that has messaging you can send voice clips why not in discord yet? Get this implanted already waiting for this since 2017.
